End of Life Planning: Information Session

03 May @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

“My parents had cemetery plots, but no planning was made for funeral arrangements or other details involving their care after death. Although we knew my mom was sick, we only knew for certain that she was going to die about one day before it happened. That left us scrambling with making funeral and other arrangements while trying to focus on being with her in her final moments and working through the grief of her passing. One of the greatest gifts you can give your loved ones is taking this burden off of them and making the decisions and arrangements while you are still here.” – A TBA Family

“Ninety percent of people think it is important to talk about end-of-life wishes with their loved ones, but only 27 percent have done so, according to a 2021 study published in the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services.”

Death is an inevitable part of life. Without pre-planning, grieving families are often left wondering what to do next, when they should be given the opportunity to mourn. Planning for how a person’s final days and wishes are executed is very difficult but can be an invaluable gift to loved ones during a challenging time.

Join TBA’s clergy and executive director, as well as representatives from Sagel Bloomfield Funeral Home and Garden of Remembrance Cemetery to discuss end-of-life planning. You will learn about TBA’s funeral practices, how to purchase cemetery plots, funeral home arrangements, burial processes, and so much more. You will also hear answers to common questions such as: My spouse and I are interfaith – what are our options? Can a person with tattoos and piercings be buried in a Jewish cemetery? Is cremation an option?
