Videos for the High Holy Days! 2020/5781

Thank you for participating in these unprecedented High Holy Days. As you know, we will be online this year, and with your help, these videos will create special moments during our High Holy Day services.

Please reach out to Joshana Erenberg with any questions you may have regarding filming/recording the video.
Her email is:
joerenberg@gmail.com and her cell is: 202-302-6663.

  • How to create your video - Videos are due NO LATER than August 3rd!
    1. Please make sure you are in a nice location with your face(s) fully lit.
    2. Please wear something appropriate as your video will be viewed during High Holy Day services.
    3. When you are filming, please make sure you are seen from the chest region up, so we can see your face(s) clearly.
    4. Remember to look pleasant when filming!
    5. Please make sure that the video is filmed horizontally (i.e., wide not tall)!
    6. When video recording, please use headphones or earbuds to listen to the pre-recorded audio.  Only your voice(s) should be heard on your submitted video! Click here to watch a video on how to properly film using your phone.
    7. Choose from the Video Categories below (in green).  Support materials (audios/videos guide tracks) are included in each category.
    8. Please listen and practice a few times with the audio/video guide recording and THEN make your own personal video-recording using the guide track.
Note: no audios are supplied for Torah, Haftorah or Readings.
    9. Please review your video to make sure you like what you see and hear.
    10. Submit your video.
    11. Videos are due NO LATER than August 3rd.
