JBC Author: Marjorie Ingall
13 Sep @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join TBA on Wednesday, September 13th at 7pm as we welcome celebrated Jewish Book Council Author Marjorie Ingall. This event will be presented in person and online. Ingall, the author of Mamaleh Knows Best, former columnist for Tablet and the Forward, will be discussing her latest book, “Sorry, Sorry, Sorry: The Power of a Good Apology”.
Drawing on a deep well of studies in brain science, sociology, psychology, law, and medicine, Marjorie Ingall and co-author Susan McCarthy (co-author of the international bestseller When Elephants Weep) explain why a good apology is hard to find… and why it doesn’t have to be. In “Sorry, Sorry, Sorry”, they present a six (and a half!)-step formula for apologizing beautifully and delve into research on why good apologies are psychologically difficult.
During the event, Ingall will also discuss how to teach children to apologize, how to respond to a bad apology, how gender, race, and power affect apologies and forgiveness, and most importantly, why good apologies are essential, powerful, and restorative.
Don’t miss this insightful and thought-provoking event with Marjorie Ingall. Whether you join us in person or online, mark your calendars for September 13th at 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
