Linda Burgin – Gimel L’mala

Hello!  During my 36 years at Temple Beth Ami, I have taught 8th and 9th grade; acted as a permanent substitute teacher for grades 3-7; taught 3rd grade for 14 years; 4th grade for one year; and served as the Confirmation Coordinator for nine years as well as the 12th grade advisor for a year. In this coming year, I am looking forward to working with my two sets of third graders in the Gimel class on Sunday.  In all my varied teaching experiences at Temple Beth Ami, I have enjoyed my students and their families. Teaching multi-level grade levels has provided an invaluable sensitivity to student’s educational needs.  My past involvement as co-chair of the “To Bring About” project also allowed me to get to know my students and families from yet another perspective.  For the last eight years, I have been a committee member and director of TBA Cares and that involvement has continued my strong involvement in congregational life.  This year will be another exciting year of teaching and learning together!
