Cara O’Connor – Bet L’Mala

Cara and her husband, Shaun, have been long-time members of Temple Beth Ami. They live in Gaithersburg with their two children, Danny and Betsy. Cara was an active TBA volunteer during the time that her kids were students in the nursery school and Machane TBA.  She is very excited to be back at TBA in an active role as a Bet teacher. Cara adores children and is thrilled to be able to reconnect with many TBA families. She holds a BA in Dance, an AA in theater and a certificate in Early Childhood Development. Cara’s first career was as a dance teacher and choreographer. She retired from full-time teaching when she became a mom. As her children got older, Cara taught dance classes in her home studio, taught toddlers and twos at a Jewish nursery school, and currently works as an elementary school Para-educator for MCPS.
