Introducing
Cantor Inbal Sharett-Singer
“As a cantor, my vision is to inspire and nurture a vibrant, meaningful, and connected Jewish life within my congregation and beyond. Through the transformative power of Jewish liturgical music, I strive to create sacred spaces where individuals feel deeply connected—to God, to one another, and to the enduring traditions that unite us. To me, music is not only an expression of faith but a bridge that links generations, builds community, and ignites the soul, breathing life and spirit—its n’shamah— into our prayers.”

Cantor Inbal Sharett-Singer is excited to join Temple Beth Ami as our new Cantor starting in July, bringing a passion for music, spirituality, and community engagement to her role. Born and raised in Israel, she blends deep-rooted Jewish traditions with innovative approaches to worship, ensuring services are inclusive, participatory, and spiritually uplifting.
With over a decade of experience, Cantor Sharett-Singer has led congregations in meaningful worship, revitalized B’nei Mitzvah programs, and developed engaging musical experiences for all ages. She previously served as the Senior Cantor at Temple Israel in Minneapolis and as Cantor at Riverdale Temple in New York, where she expanded youth and family programming, led choirs, and fostered dynamic prayer services.
An accomplished musician, Cantor Sharett-Singer has performed at prestigious venues such as the United Nations, Stand Up for Heroes alongside Bruce Springsteen, and a Minnesota Twins game at Target Center. She has also recorded original music, collaborating with members of Prince’s band.
Cantor Sharett-Singer holds a Master of Sacred Music and Cantorial Ordination from Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion, along with degrees in Vocal Performance from Brooklyn College and The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Beyond her cantorial work, she is a devoted wife to Jonathan and a loving mother to their three children. She is passionate about fostering meaningful connections through music, Jewish learning, and community-building at Temple Beth Ami.
Vision and Beliefs
“I aim to connect with individuals of all ages and backgrounds through Torah learning, spiritual guidance, and lifecycle leadership. Teaching Torah as a source of joy, curiosity, and purpose is central to my mission, as I believe its wisdom can enrich and guide us through every stage of life. Fostering a deep connection to Israeli culture is also integral to my vision. Through music and experiential programs, I celebrate the beauty of our shared heritage, strengthening the bonds between our congregation and Israel and reinforcing its central role in our Jewish identity.
My commitment to Israel is deeply rooted in my upbringing within a proud Zionist family and my service in the Israel Defense Forces. These experiences forged a profound connection to the land, people, and culture of Israel, which continues to shape my work. In the wake of the tragic events of October 7th, I collaborated with my clergy team to craft worship that reflects this challenging time, weaving Israeli songs of peace and hope alongside prayers for Israel.”
