Join Rebuilding Together with Temple Beth Ami and Shaare Torah to Support Tobytown Restoration
We’re excited to announce our upcoming project, for Rebuilding Together in collaboration with Shaare Torah. We will be working in Tobytown, an historic community founded by African American residents in the 1800’s after the Civil War. This neighborhood is located off River Road near Pennyfield Lock and Travilah Rd
Dates: We’ll be active on April 21, April 28, and May 5, with shifts available from 8 am to 12:30 pm, 12:30 pm to 5 pm, or for the entire day.
Tasks Include: Carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, cleaning, yard maintenance, gutter repairs, and more.
How to Get Involved: Reach out to Lynn Weintraub. She’ll add your name to our work roster and provide a signup link with Rebuilding Together. This volunteer opportunity welcomes individuals aged 14 and above. For teens aged 14-18, a parent or guardian signature on a separate permission form is required.
Calling Professionals: Do you know a skilled carpenter or contractor willing to donate a day of their expertise? Encourage them to contact Roger Rothman.
Your participation makes a meaningful difference in Tobytown’s restoration. Let’s rebuild together and create lasting impact in this historic community.
