Purim Shpiel Auditions 2024

Calling performers of all ages! Open auditions are here for the 2024 Family Purim Shpiel and the 2024 Adult Purim Shpiel.
The family Purim Shpiel will be Esther Enchanted. Esther Enchanted is a fairy tale that combines the story of Purim with music from Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, infused with tunes from other fairytales like Enchanted, Tangled, and The Descendants. Please prepare 16-32 measures (or about 1 minute) from a song of your choosing. Children who wish to dance should also prepare a short dance routine (no more than 1 minute) to a digital music file. Please also bring a photo of yourself to auditions on December 17.
Esther Enchanted performances are Saturday March 16, 2024 (evening) and Sunday March 17, 2024 (mid-day). View rehearsal schedule.
The Adult Purim Shpiel (18 years and older) will be Shpielin’ the Night Away. Get ready all for a fun filled “If the DJ’s a-rockin’ don’t come a-knockin’” shpiel which grooves to the tunes of the 1950s-1970s as we infuse the spirit of those decades into an evening of joyous celebration.

Auditions

Walk ins begin at 3pm.
