The Moses–God Relationship
Tuesdays, June 10, 17 & 24 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
In-Person Only
Join educator Steve Kerbel for a deep dive into one of the most complex and enduring relationships in the Hebrew Bible—that of Moses and God. Spanning over 80 years, their evolving dynamic reflects elements of many relationships: parent-child, teacher-student, mentor-mentee, and more. What begins as a clear hierarchy gradually becomes a dialogue filled with mutual respect, civil disagreement, and even moments of critique.
Through close examination of the Books of Exodus and Numbers, we’ll trace the growth and transformation of this relationship as the Israelites journey through the wilderness. Does Moses eventually become the teacher? Come explore how their communication and roles shift over time in this compelling three-part series.
