Shining a Spotlight on Socially Conscious Songs of the 20th Century

Join us for a moving and meaningful morning as we explore the powerful role music has played in inspiring social change. From civil rights and peace to justice and equality, we’ll shine a spotlight on iconic songs that gave voice to movements and continue to resonate today.

Led by Caron Dale, this interactive program will trace the roots and impact of socially conscious songs from the 20th century—each with a Jewish connection—sung in English, Hebrew, and Yiddish. Together, we’ll sing timeless classics like Blowin’ in the Wind, The Times They Are A-Changin’, Dance Me to the End of Love, The Partisan’s Song, Salaam, and more.

Whether you’re a music lover, history buff, or simply moved by the power of song, this promises to be an enriching, uplifting experience you won’t want to miss!
