Join us for an unforgettable evening at the National Theatre as we experience the most Tony Award-winning show of the season, Kimberly Akimbo—a new musical about the highs and lows of growing up and growing old, in no particular order. Winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Kimberly Akimbo features a Tony Award-winning book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire (Shrek) and a Tony Award-winning score by Jeanine Tesori (Fun Home). Directed by the Tony-nominated Jessica Stone, with choreography by Danny Mefford (Dear Evan Hansen), this “howlingly funny heartbreaker of a show” (The New Yorker) tells the story of Kimberly, a teenager with a rare genetic condition that makes her appear much older than she is. As Kimberly navigates her new life in suburban New Jersey, she faces family dysfunction, her first crush, and even possible felony charges—all while staying determined to find happiness and embark on a great adventure.
