A Taste of Wise Aging with Fran Zamore, MSW
12 Jun @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Reimagining the Later Years as a Time of Growth, Discovery, and Purpose
Join us for A Taste of Wise Aging, a free introductory session to the Wise Aging program—an enriching journey that invites us to approach aging with curiosity, intention, and spirit. Drawing on Jewish wisdom and spiritual practices, this session will explore how tools like study, prayer, mindfulness, meditation, journaling, and deep listening can help us navigate this life stage with resilience, joy, and connection.
This session is open to adults of all ages.
We are excited to share that a new Wise Aging cohort will begin in the fall, meeting once a month for nine months. Stay tuned—registration will open this summer!
About the Program
Wise Aging is based on the groundbreaking book Wise Aging: Living with Joy, Resilience, and Spirit by Rabbi Rachel Cowan and Dr. Linda Thal. Participants in the full program will be asked to purchase and bring their own copies of the book.
Meet the Facilitator
The session will be led by Fran Zamore, an experienced clinical social worker, mindfulness meditation teacher, and trained Wise Aging facilitator. With over 30 years of experience supporting emotional and spiritual well-being, Fran is also the co-author of GriefWork and GriefWork for Teens. She is an active member of Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation and Jews United for Justice.
What We’ll Explore
During Wise Aging sessions, we reflect on meaningful questions, such as:
-
Who am I now?
-
How do I cultivate gratitude, generosity, and lasting relationships?
-
What will my legacy be?
Come get a taste of what Wise Aging has to offer—and discover how this stage of life can be deeply fulfilling and spiritually rich.
