Ally Kahler – Alef

Ally Kahler is originally from New York, grew up in Southern California and has resided in Maryland since 1990 where she attended the University of Maryland at College Park. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, was a full time teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools for 5 years, and is presently a substitute teacher in the county. As well as a 1st grade teacher at Beth Ami, Ally has a very active home life raising three energetic sons. Jack, Ben, and Josh have attended religious school at Beth Ami and two of her three sons have been called to the Torah to become Bar Mitzvah. They are her pride and joy and she hopes that some of her positive parenting skills shine within her classroom as well. Ally and her husband, James, live in the Kentlands and both enjoy spending quality time with their boys, and their four-legged furry friend, Phineas. She has run the Purim Carnival here at Beth Ami for 5 years and she can also be seen performing in and choreographing Purim Shpiels and shows with the TBA Players.
