Alisa Weinstein – Alef
Alisa and her family joined Temple Beth Ami in 2010, when her daughter entered kindergarten. Alisa’s childhood was steeped in Jewish activities—her parents were founding members of Bet Breira (Miami, FL) and activists for Soviet Jewry. She attended the Alexander Muss High School in Israel program, as well as the Tel Aviv Overseas Student Program, and graduated from the University of Maryland with a minor in Jewish studies (major: Journalism, advertising). An internationally recognized copywriter, Alisa also created the award-winning “Earn My Keep,” a financial and life literacy program for children in grades K-6. She leverages her experiences as a speaker, trainer and teacher to nurture her students’ self-efficacy, self-respect and self-reliance. Alisa lives in Potomac with her husband, two kids, overgrown puppy and impressive collection of unfolded laundry.
