Tikkun Olam @ Gaithersburg Community Soup Kitchen
30 Dec @ 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm
The Gaithersburg Community Soup Kitchen serves up more than just meals—it’s a place where kindness and community come together! Located just 10 minutes from Temple Beth Ami in the basement of Epworth United Methodist Church, the soup kitchen provides a hot, three-course meal to anyone in need, Monday through Friday from 3:30–4:30 PM. Volunteers create these delicious meals using easy-to-follow recipes and donated pantry items. Those who joined the recent GCSK tour left feeling truly inspired by the impact this program makes.
This holiday season, TBA will step in to prepare and serve meals on December 25 and December 30. There are so many ways to pitch in and make a difference—sign up for one or more slots here and be part of this meaningful mitzvah. SSL hours are available for students, too! Let’s make the holidays a little brighter together.
Note: Participants should be 14+ years old and shifts are available throughout the time. You do not need to participate for the whole event.
