Shabbat
Temple Beth Ami offers Shabbat services every Friday night and most Saturday mornings throughout the year. On some Shabbats, an afternoon service is held followed by havdalah to bring Shabbat to a close. We welcome anyone to join us in person or through our livestream.

Friday Service Descriptions
1st Friday Night of the Month:
A Shabbat Service with Summer Camp Spirit
(6:30 – 7:30 PM)
Inspired by the ruach (spirit) of machane (camp), join us to pray, sing, dance, and celebrate the joy of Shabbat. The clergy will teach the weekly Torah portion in language accessible to congregants of all ages.
2nd Friday Night of the Month

(5:30 – 6:30 PM)
Our service of music and stories for preschool-age students and families.

2nd Friday Night of the Month
Erev Shabbat Service
(6:30 – 7:30 PM)
Celebrate Shabbat with traditional prayers and the signature music of our congregation, as well as a sermon from our Rabbis.
3rd Friday Night of the Month:
Spirit of Shabbat
(6:30 – 7:30 PM)
This entirely musical service engages the congregation in prayer and song.

4th Friday Night of the Month
Erev Shabbat
(6:30 – 7:30 PM)
Celebrate Shabbat with traditional prayers and the signature music of our congregation, as well as a sermon from our Rabbis.

5th Friday Night of the Month:
Meditative Shabbat
(6:30 – 7:30 PM)
Experience the calm and peacefulness of Shabbat through this introspective service of prayer and contemplative music.
Saturday & Sunday Service Descriptions
Shabbat Morning Sanctuary Service
10:30am – 12:30pm
On Shabbat mornings we often celebrate our B’nei Mitzvah students being called to Torah, as well as other lifecycle events (i.e. baby namings, auf rufs, etc.).
Shabbat Afternoon (Mincha) Service
5:30pm – 7:30pm
From October – April (usually held twice a month), we regularly celebrate our B’nei Mitzvah students being called to Torah along with other lifecycle events (such as baby namings, auf rufs, etc.).

Shabbat Morning Chapel Service
10:30am – 12:00pm
2nd Shabbat of each month ONLY
On the second Shabbat morning of each month, we will celebrate Shabbat in the warm, intimate setting of the chapel. This in-person only service may be clergy-led or lay-led.
