Everyone is invited to join us via Zoom to hear Anat Hoffman, founder of Women of the Wall.
Check weekly Monday morning email for Zoom link to participate remotely OR you may sign up to view Anat’s presentation on Zoom in the Temple Sanctuary by signing up no later than Wednesday, 9/8 HERE.
Following her presentation and Q & A, you will have the opportunity to participate (via breakout groups) in small groups for a thoughtful discussion, which might include:
Why is it important for Jewish people to still love Israel even when understanding the complexities and the realities of our homeland?
What does it mean for Israel to be a Jewish State and a democracy? How does the bond of Religion and State impact this?
Since there is nothing in Jewish law (halachah) that prohibits women from participating in Jewish ritual (tallit, tefillin, for example) or having access to Torah, why does the ruling body of the Western Wall have the power to impose such regulations?
