WTBA & Jewish Book Council Book Club The Book of V (by Anna Solomon) Tues., 2/9 (7:30 pm)
February 9, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Anna Solomon’s kaleidoscopic novel, The Book of V, intertwines the lives of a Brooklyn mother in 2016, a senator’s wife in 1970s Washington, D.C., and the Bible’s Queen Esther, whose stories of sex, power and desire overlap and ultimately converge—showing how women’s roles have and have not changed over thousands of years. Following in the tradition of The Hours and The Red Tent, The Book of V. is a bold and contemporary investigation into the enduring expectations and restraints placed on women’s lives.
Through our participation with the Jewish Book Council speaker’s series, join author Anna Solomon and WTBA for a virtual Book & Author talk. Check your eblast for the Zoom link or contact Terry.
