Come join us on the scenic Western Maryland Rail Trail. Don’t let the name fool you – the trailhead is in Hancock, MD, which is only 68 miles from TBA. The ride will start at 10:00 am. See below for parking information.
This trail is perfect for riders of all skill levels and allows you to choose your own adventure in terms of how long or far you want to ride. The entire trail is about 25 paved miles, is completely flat, and mostly shaded. You can still participate even if you don’t bike by enjoying a walk along this beautiful trail. The trail also parallels the C&O Canal if you prefer to use that trail for walking or biking.
We encourage all riders/walkers to enjoy lunch in Hancock following the ride. There will not be an organized lunch since everyone will be riding for varying amounts of time along the trail. However, we encourage you to plan to enjoy this beautiful town for a post-ride/walk lunch. Great options for lunch include:
On your way out of town, be sure to stop at the Blue Goose Market ( https://www.bluegoosemarkethancock.com/). It’s on the right before you get back on the interstate to head home. They have an amazing bakery and plenty of other fun treats.
