Live & Learn with Rabbi Weiss
Tues., June 1, 8, 15 (10:30 AM – 12 NOON)
June 15 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Tuesday, repeating until June 15, 2021
Topic: Torah of Re-opening: Ritual, Relationship, and Rebuilding
Join Rabbi Weiss for this 3-part series that looks to the Torah for guidance as we begin to re-enter our (post?) pandemic world. Throughout our sessions, we will let Torah be our companion as we think and feel our way through the complexities of reopening and reemerging into our social worlds.
- What rituals in our tradition can accompany us in meting a relative or friend for the first time after a year?
- How can stories of reunion in the Torah and Talmud help us navigate the intense emotions of reentering relationships?
- How do we rebuild our communal spaces of gathering and prayer after a period of absence?
We will draw from a rich range of Jewish texts and traditions – ritual, halachah, narrative, midrash – as we do our best to ready ourselves for the highs, lows and unknowns of the next phase of this journey.
Curriculum comes from HADAR. Check Temple eblast for Zoom link.
