Temple Beth Ami’s Inclusion Committee invites the congregation for an evening of inspiration and education on Jewish Disabilities Awareness and Inclusion Shabbat Friday, February 28 at 7:30 pm. See below for details of the Potluck Shabbat Dinner for those who’d like to register to attend (at 6:30 pm) before services.
We are honored to welcome JIM SCHMUTZ, President and CEO of Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD). In his role as SOMD CEO, Jim and his staff engages with over 6,300 volunteers annually to deliver year-round sports training and competition in 27 sports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The vision at SOMD is to have 20,000 active athletes by 2025. Jim is proud to work with so many athletes, family members, volunteers and supporters who are committed to leveraging sport to build interactive inclusive communities of dignity and respect.
