Book & Author Talk Roberta Rosenthal-Kwall, Author Remix Judaism Thurs., 3/11 (7:30 PM)
March 11, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Professor Kwall will discuss her widely acclaimed book, “Remix Judaism: Preserving Tradition in a Diverse World” as it applies to religiously liberal Jews. Her book demonstrates how developing a richer set of culturally religious norms can provide a foundation for transmissible Jewish tradition, even if some of the traditional parts of Judaism are “remixed.” “To me, there is so much beauty in Jewish tradition, that it can’t be the property of just any one sector of the Jewish community,” says Kwall. “And, it shouldn’t be. But, I think a lot of people don’t really have enough guidance for how to make it their own.”
Presented in conjunction with the Jewish Book Council and hosted by Rabbi Baht Weiss. Order book HERE
