Show and Tell: In preparation for Sunday’s activities, please have something special that you would like to share with your class for Show and Tell.
Resh: Please print out the Resh Booklet and the Resh Coloring Page. You will decorate the Resh Coloring Page, along with your class, using ribbons, rope, rubber bands, red markers or crayons and anything else you have at home that starts with an R sound.

Alef (1st grade)
Before class, go on a Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) Scavenger Hunt and bring the items to share on Sunday:
1. Something that represents the desert (the Golan, Ein Gedi)
2. Something that represents the beach (Eilat, Tel Aviv)
3. Write a note to put in the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem. You can thank God for something or ask God for something.
4. Something that represents food from a farm, like milk or fruit or vegetables (kibbutzim)
5. Something that represents a strong, safe community (superheroes, first responders, medical or military figures)
Hebrew Letters:
Please bring some paper and a pencil to practice Hebrew letters! Print out this Hebrew Letter Chart.

Bet (2nd grade)
For our class on Sunday:
– Wear blue and white for Yom Ha’atzmaut
– Bring juice and a snack/challah to eat when we say the blessings
– Bring a favorite Jewish item in your house for show and tell (kiddush cup, challah cover, kippah, tzedakah box, Jewish Bet Bear, etc.)
